By Air: Chennai has both domestic and international airports. Chennai is well connected to several Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kochi, Port Blair, etc.

Anna International Airport at Chennai is well connected to Sharjah, Kuala Lumpur, Abu Dhabi, Colombo, Singapore, Mauritius, London, Brussels, New York, Dubai, Frankfurt, Kuwait, Muscat, Doha, Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddah, Bangkok, etc.

Auto-rickshaws and taxis are easily available from Chennai airport to reach any part of the city.

By Rail: Chennai Central, Egmore and Tambaram are the three railway stations in Chennai. Chennai is well connected to most major parts of the country like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Goa, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneshwar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Ernakulam, Gaya, Gorakhpur, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanyakumari, Mangalore, Madurai, Patna, Pondicherry, Jamshedpur, Thiruvananthapuram, etc. Taxis and rickshaws are easily available from the station to reach anywhere in the city.

By Road: Chennai is well connected to most major parts of the country by road. Five national highways pass through Chennai connecting it to Kolkata, Madurai, Puducherry, etc.

Chennai has one of the largest bus terminals in Asia. Hourly buses from Tirupati, Pondicherry and Coimboture ply to Chennai. State-owned and private buses connect Chennai to Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Trivandrum too.
