Desert Festival:It is Jaisalmer’s most popular festive event which draws visitors from all around the world every year in January-February. You can enjoy the traditional arts and crafts of Rajasthan. The backdrop of sand dunes adds that extra zing to a wonderful display of dancing, singing and music. Camel races, camel polo, turban tying and tug-of-war are competitions that draw huge crowds.
Camel Festival:This festival begins with a colourful procession of camels walking through Junagarh Fort. There are a number of competitions ranging from the best-decorated camel to the fastest camel along with cultural performances by the people.
Holi:This festival marks the arrival of spring in the Hindu month of Phalgun (February-March). The celebrations continue for 9 days with people playing with colours paired with numerous cultural performances.
Diwali: During this Festival of Lights, the entire city is ablaze with oil lamps and lanterns. Simply being in Jaisalmer during this festival is fun enough.
