Ramlinga Vilas Palace: Situated about 55 km from Rameswaram, the palace was built by Kizhavan Sethupati, one of the rulers of Sethupati clan. Mural paintings depict the rulers. It also has a museum which exhibits weapons used by the rulers.

Erwadi: Located about 24 km from Rameswaram, the town is famous for the shrine of Hazrat Sultan Syed Ibrahim Sahid Aulia. The shrine is around 800-year-old and it is also popular for the Sandhanakoodu festival. The festival is celebrated to mark the death anniversary of Hazrat Sultan Syed Ibrahim Sahid Aulia.

Kanchirankullam Water Bird Sanctuary: Located in Ramanathpuram district, the sanctuary is an ideal place for the bird watchers. One can spot several water birds during the non-monsoon months of October to January. Has both native and migratory birds.
